An invitation to slow down, listen inward, and come home to yourself.
Somatic coaching supports healing through the body — where experience lives and transformation begins.

What is Somatic Coaching?

Somatic coaching is an invitation to come home to your body.

Beneath our thoughts, stories, and coping strategies lives a deeper intelligence, one that remembers how to feel, how to soften, how to move toward safety and truth. The body holds the imprints of our experiences, especially the moments when we learned to brace, disconnect, or become small in order to survive.

Somatic coaching listens to the language of the body.

Rather than pushing for change or analyzing what’s “wrong,” this work creates the conditions for your system to feel safe enough to release what it no longer needs to carry. Through presence, mindfulness, and deep compassion, we allow what has been held to slowly unwind — at a pace your nervous system can trust.

This is not about fixing, for you are not broken.
It is about remembering who you truly are beneath the intelligent protection mechanisms you developed over time.

  • This work supports a softening back into yourself.

    You may begin to notice:

    • A deeper sense of safety and grounding in your body

    • Less reactivity and more spaciousness in your nervous system

    • The release of long-held tension, emotion, or survival patterns

    • A renewed connection to pleasure, intuition, and aliveness

    • Greater self-trust, clarity, and inner steadiness

As the body learns it is safe to let go, life begins to move with more ease.

  • Our sessions unfold intuitively, guided by what is alive for you in the moment. I offer a deeply attuned, trauma-informed space where nothing is forced and everything is welcomed.

Depending on your needs, our work may weave together:

    • Mindfulness & embodied awareness to anchor you in presence and self-compassion

    • Somatic trauma resolution to gently renegotiate stored stress and protective responses

    • Inner child healing & reparenting to meet tender parts with care, safety, and attunement

    • Shadow work to bring compassion to the parts of you that learned to hide

    • Breathwork to open pathways for release, regulation, and reconnection

This is slow, intentional work — led by your body’s wisdom, not a timeline.

  • This work may be for you if you feel a quiet knowing that something inside you is ready to soften.

If you’ve done the mindset work, the talking, the understanding — and still feel held in patterns that live deeper than words — your body may be asking to be included.

You do not need to relive your past, your trauma or know exactly what you want to heal.
You only need a willingness to listen inward.

Why is Somatic Coaching so effective?

Somatic coaching is powerful because it works with the part of us that learned to survive.

Most of our patterns — anxiety, shutdown, people-pleasing, hyper-independence, self-doubt — were not created through conscious choice. They were shaped in the body and nervous system long before we had language or understanding. This is why insight alone is often not enough to create lasting change.

Somatic coaching meets these patterns at their origin.

By gently working with sensation, breath, movement, and present-moment awareness, the body begins to recognize that it is no longer in the past. Safety is felt, not thought. When the nervous system experiences safety, it naturally releases what it no longer needs to hold. This is where real change happens.

Rather than forcing catharsis or pushing for breakthroughs, somatic coaching creates the conditions for the body to unwind at its own pace. Protective responses soften. Stored stress completes. Emotional energy that was once bound in survival becomes available for presence, pleasure, creativity, and connection.

Somatic coaching is effective because it doesn’t bypass the body — it listens to it.

It honors that healing is not something we do to ourselves, but something that emerges when the system feels met, resourced, and supported. Over time, the body learns a new experience: one of choice, regulation, and trust.

This is why the changes tend to be subtle yet profound — and why they last.

1:1 Somatic Coaching Package

Somatic Coaching sessions are for those seeking individualized support, guidance, and attuned presence.

This is a collaborative process. I am not here to tell you what to do, but rather holding space for you to tune into your own inner knowing, body wisdom, and truth. Together, we explore what is ready to be felt, witnessed, held, and tended to.

No two sessions are alike. Each session is shaped by your unique nervous system, lived experience, and what is present in the moment. The work is trauma-sensitive and present-moment oriented, meaning whatever is arising in your thoughts, emotions, body, or life becomes the doorway into the session.

Private sessions may include a blend of:

  • Somatic coaching & nervous system regulation

  • Somatic trauma resolution

  • Shadow integration & inner child reparenting

  • Re-patterning limiting beliefs & creating new neural pathways

  • Embodiment, breathwork & mindfulness

  • Other supportive therapeutic tools

Sessions are one hour in length and held via Zoom.

To schedule, please complete payment below. I will be in touch within a few days to connect and support your next steps.

FAQ’s

  • Each session is unique. We begin by tuning into what is present for you — sensations, emotions, themes, or intentions. From there, I guide you through gentle body-based practices to resolve fight, flight, freeze and fawn responses living in the body.

We will connect with our body, ourselves and our true desires, and then explore how this can be integrated into daily life. A session might involve:

    • Nervous System Regulation & Tracking sensations

    • Grounding practices to increase safety

    • Inner child or parts work from a somatic lens

    • Gentle movement, sound, or touch cues

    • Exploring boundaries, desires, and impulses

    • Digesting stagnant emotions, trauma or tension held in the body

    • Orienting exercises to bring the body out of survival mode

You remain fully in control the entire time. We move slowly, following your nervous system’s cues.

  • Some ways Somatic Coaching may support you:

    • Regulating the nervous system

    • Body-based emotional awareness

    • Inner child healing

    • Learning how to set boundaries and voice your needs

    • Repatterining protective strategies

    • Supporting secure attachment through felt safety

    • Becoming aware of your felt experience and how your body communicates with you.

    • Understanding how your body holds stress, trauma, and old patterns.

    • Repatterning your nervous system responses to create new ways of being & new somatic imprints

    • Building emotional capacity, resilience, and self-regulation

    • Integrating mind, body, and spirit in your healing process

  • Therapists manage mental illnesses and diagnoses, coaches do not. Rather than diagnosing or analyzing, this work focuses on building safety in the body and supporting your system to release what it’s ready to let go of.

Many people who have done talk therapy for a significant period of time feel they know their patterns and understand their trauma, but nothing is really shifting. A Somatic approach works directly with sensation and nervous system regulation, helping resolve patterns that don’t shift through awareness alone

I do not serve those in active addiction or mental health crisis because it is out of my scope of practice. You can visit www.traumahealing.org and select “Find A Practitioner” to find a licensed therapist in your area or insurance network who uses Somatic Experiencing.

  • Not at all. This work meets you exactly where you are. I guide you step by step, and everything is adapted to your comfort level and capacity.

  • There is no one-size-fits-all answer. I begin new clients with a 3-session package because somatic work is relational and cumulative.

Consistency allows your nervous system to build safety, trust, and continuity, which is essential for meaningful and lasting change. Three sessions give us the space to orient, deepen, and integrate — rather than touching something tender and leaving it unfinished.

Some people experience meaningful shifts in a single session, while others choose to work together over time to build deeper regulation, trust, and integration. We can always check in together about what feels supportive.

  • Talk therapy works primarily with thoughts, insight, and story.
Somatic work includes the body and nervous system — where stress, trauma, and patterns are actually stored — allowing change to happen beyond understanding alone.

When the body feels safe, change becomes more sustainable, not just intellectual.

    • Trauma is stored not just in memory, but as physiological patterns

    • The body responds faster than the thinking mind

    • We can process what talking alone can’t reach

    • Safe, supported body awareness helps complete unfinished survival responses

For example, if you grew up needing to shut down emotions or stay hyper-independent, your body learned those patterns for safety. Somatic work gently unwinds them.

  • If you cannot make a session at short notice, we can try to find a replacement time within the same week as an alternative option.

If a session is cancelled within 24 hours and there is no other time that works, the session is non-refundable.
